The BIS Simplified Procedure (also referred to as the Artisan and Individual Registration scheme) is designed to make ISI Mark certification accessible to micro-enterprises, artisans, and cottage industry producers who may not have the resources to meet standard Scheme I requirements.
Eligible manufacturers benefit from concessional application fees, relaxed testing requirements, and simplified documentation. The scheme is available for select IS numbers where BIS has notified the simplified procedure.
