Simplified Procedure
A reduced-fee BIS certification path for artisans, cottage industry units, and micro-enterprises.
The Simplified Procedure (sometimes called the AIR Scheme in older BIS documentation, not to be confused with Authorised Indian Representative) is a streamlined, reduced-fee BIS certification path designed to make ISI Mark accessible to artisans, cottage industry units, khadi enterprises, and micro-manufacturers.
Under the Simplified Procedure, government fees are significantly reduced — micro-enterprises typically pay 80% less than standard ISI Mark fees. The application process is also simplified, with fewer documentation requirements for very small production operations.
The Simplified Procedure is available only for specific IS numbers. Not all products qualify. Complyr helps clients confirm eligibility and prepare applications.
